Report on a preliminary meeting for a Nautical Observatory in the Veneto region
A Nautical Observatory in Veneto able to collect and file lots of data by institutions, chambers, associations and companies, and to help directdecision makers' and markets' actions.

This Observatory need arose during a panel discussion held on Wednesday, March 14th at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, which brought together representatives of institutions and companies in the boating industry in the Veneto region. The meeting, which preceded the creation of the Observatory, was organized by Research Strategy Group, University of Verona, Department of Tourism Economics University Ca 'Foscari of Venice, and Expo Venice Spa, the Venice Boat Show organizer.
The speakers, who expressed very positive comments on this Observatory opportunity, were Mauro Scarpelli from Expo Venice, Jan van der Borg, Dean of the Economics Department of Tourism University Ca 'Foscari of Venice, Andrea Beretta Zanoni, Director of the Research Group strategy; Pollicardo Lorenzo, curator of the Venice Boat Show, Mario dalla Tor, Vice-President of the Province of Venice; Marino Masiero from Slow Lagoon; and Emanuele Zanotto from eAmbiente.
